Silvery and chic wedding reception flowers

One of my favorite color combinations for a wedding is purple and silver — to me, the pairing is sexy and classy at the same time. This wedding reception at the Langham Huntington in Pasadena demonstrates the sexy and classy elements very nicely.

Just check out this room. I love the purple lighting on the walls, love the silver table cloths with those silver chairs, and the flowers are so lush and awesome. You want a closeup, I know.

That arrangement is made up of a lot of hydrangeas and roses, on top of a sexy, curvy glass vase filled halfway with lavender rose blooms and petals in water. You can take the flowers on top, I’ll take the vase home, OK? The decorator finished off the table’s look with rose petals and blooms around the base of the vase, plus what appears to be LED votive candles.

By the way, the place settings were pretty sexy too. Each plate had a purple rose bloom and sitting on top of what appears to be a silver napkin. If I had to guess, I’d say the silver material of the napkin and table cloth was gossamer. But if I’m wrong, let me know.

The cake was really beautiful and elegant. It sat on top of a silver base and was topped with purple and white rose blooms. The table itself was scattered with purple and white rose petals, and LED votive candles ringed the cake.

The sweetheart table, to the rest of the reception, probably appeared to be stacked high with roses and hydrangeas, that’s how big and lush this arrangement was. Personally, I wouldn’t have made this arrangement so big, but if that’s what the bride wants, there it is!
