How do most brides find their florists? To be honest, most brides check out the flowers of weddings they’ve attended previously. In short, florists are usually found by word of mouth.

But what if you’ve moved to a new area where you don’t know anyone? It would come in handy to be able to consult something a little more exact than, say, the Yellow Pages. That’s where the Florist Directory comes in.

The directory, which is free, lists florists and flower shops across the country. Their press release says they’ve got 26,000 listings.

I’ll be honest. The company sent me a press release, inviting me to submit my own listing. Since I don’t have a flower shop or work at one, I don’t have a listing to submit. But I do have a suggestion — each listing has the name of the shop, its city and a contact number. But what about a website? That would definitely have come in handy.
